I hope that all of you have looked at your grades and come to the realization that by only doing the Art of the Day assignments (worth 10 points) will not get you a passing grade. S0…….with Module 6 do the main assignments (worth 100 points).!!! Keep up with the due dates as well.

Important note!!! As of this Sunday night Module 5 will be closed. It was all due by last Friday, and I will give you this week as a “grace” period to get caught up and complete everything!!!! At that time I will enter a big fat zero on the incomplete assignments, including the ones that I gave each of you the opportunity to re-submit. I feel some of you do not go back and read my comments when I grade your work….and some of you seem to think that doing the “Art of the DAy” assignments is enough.. Wrong! So be forewarned…….a few of you have chosen to earn a big fat F for this semester’s work so far. Contact me if I can be of assistance.

Many of you are falling behind. Please note that Module 5 assignments are to be complete by this weekend. It is imperative that you keep up, if you plan to pass the class. Remember that the “Art of the Day” assignments are only worth 10 points each while all others are worth 100, so do those now.

check your grades to make sure I have not given you a low or zero grade on an assignment and asked you to resubmit it. Do this ASAP.

Make sure you open the elluminate sessions as directed for some of the assignments. It is here where I give you much information about what you are to be studying. You will find them by clicking on “elluminate’ in the assignment. Then sit back and learn. You might check out what your “response” is so you will be aware of this during the presentation. For you new people, these were recorded last year so it is definitely not live. Enjoy!!

IMPORTANCE OF KEEPING UP

ALMOST ALL OF YOU ARE NOW DOING THE “ART OF THE DAY” DAILY ASSIGNMENTS REGULARLY! YEAH! Now you need to keep up to date on the regular numbered assignments.
To refresh your minds: the dailies are worth 10 points each day, the regular assignments are all worth 100 points. You need to prioritize your time and complete everything not just the short Art of the Day” ones. Have I said enough?

ART HISTORY – 2ND SEMESTER STUFF

let me know something about the kind of art you enjoy. What do you have hanging on the walls in your bedroom? What about in your living room? Do you create any kind of art? Hang in there, this course is pretty straight forward…and you might really learn something new about art, especially if you do the work relating to the assignments. Check out what is already due or over-due…..and then do them today. Keep up.

IF YOU HAVE READ ALL OF THE MODULE 4 ASSIGNMENTS YOU WILL SEE THAT THE FINAL PART IS TO TURN IN A BOOKLET MADE UP OF ALL 20 BUILDINGS OF SACRED ARCHITECTURE IN HARD COPY FORM. So as you turn in the pages for the individual assignments that are for 5 of the buildings be sure to make hard copies for this notebook (that is, if you do them correctly). Do not get behind as this does require work on your part. The map will be due in this notebook.

I sent you a message about format for turning in the assignments that include photos. Do them in word but turn them in using .doc not docx. I won’t get them on my computer unless you do. Don’t procrastinate or be dilatory!!!!

You were to turn in your 2 self-portraits at the student meeting tomorrow, assignment 3.03b. However, the best laid plans whatever…..the meeting has been canceled. The grade for this assignment was not included in the points for your grade so….

Send the answers that are the rest of 3.03b assignment as you normally do in Clovis Online School stuff.

I will need these by Dec. 1 so do it now!!! You may also fax them to me (make sure your name is on the art pieces) to 559-261-0438, if you have access to a fax on your printer.

End of Grading Period.

This Friday is the end of the 12 week grading period. I will accept Module 3 assignments that are due NOW through Sunday night, Nov. 14. Then they will be closed. Only 3.04b will be left open as it is due Nov. 16. You need to get everything in!

3.03b is a hands-on activity drawing your self-portrait. Though due by Nov. 5 I will accept your drawings at the student meeting on Nov. 18. These will not be averaged into your grade points until next 6 week grades…..unless you can get them to me by next Monday, scanned, mailed (341 E. Marwood, Fresno, 93720), or faxed (559-261-0438). So you need to comoplete 3.01a, 3.01b, 3.02a, 3.02b, 3.03a, 3.03b(if possible), and 3.04a. Get them done by this weekend or they will be “F’s”. You are warned! Contact me if you need help.
